My name is Inez Perera, I'm a painter from South London, where the energy of London and its contrasts have always been a quiet inspiration in my work. Drawn to the freedom and emotion found in abstraction. My journey and love for art began not through formal study or school, but through a deep need to express what words often cannot. Over time, painting became both an escape and a way to make sense of the world around me — a space where instinct leads and rules fall away. Each brushstroke is a reflection of feeling, memory, or mood, rather than a direct representation of reality.

My work is rooted in the idea that meaning doesn't always have to be clear to be powerful. I'm less interested in telling you what to see and more interested in what you feel when you see it. Texture, colour, movement — these are my language. Through abstraction, I aim to create pieces that invite quiet reflection, bold interpretation, or simply a moment of stillness.
